I pinned this out of sheer obligation...based on the number of wine bottles available for recycling that I alone have made possible. :)
Christmas lights poked through a canvas. Paint the canvas, make a design on the back. Poke holes with an awl. Insert Christmas lights (LED would be great), secure with craft glue. This is brilliant!

Cut a glass bottle using Nail Polish Remover - Here is what you do: -wrap the cotton yarn around your bottle 5-6 times, tie and cut ends. -slide yarn off of the bottle -dip in nail polish remover -slide the wet yarn back onto the bottle---NOTE---the bottle will be cut at whatever angle you have the yarn at, so if you are interested in doing a sideways cut just adjust your yarn -light on fire ****please please be careful**** -only the wet yarn will be lit on fire and the flame is very well controlled -rotate bottle in circles as the yarn is on fire for about 20 seconds so that all parts of the bottle warm evenly -submerge in cold water and watch the bottle parts separate -use sand paper to smooth rough edges

Another pinner said: "btw...my sister and i made this, figured it was worth a try...& by FAR the best laundry detergent EVER! only need a tablespoon per load (we just use the oxy scoop) and it smells so good! Needless to say, I will NEVER purchase another laundry detergent brand. This has inspired me to make more homemade cleaning products :) very exciting!" Laundry soap recipe - $20 for 9+ months' worth of soap. Gotta try this!
Another pinner says: All of our memories in a frame. My husband and I kept all concert tickets, festival passes, wrist bands, hotel cards, love notes, etc., created a collage and framed it. It's by our front door so everyone that comes in our home gets a glance of 'us' :) I like this idea!

Shoe box tops wrapped in different fabrics. Cheaper than using canvases.
Another pinner says: Did you know that glass etching is super easy? And, what a great gift (add a couple of tea towels, some dishcloths, and a couple of great recipes)
Elmer's glue on canvas. Then paint the whole thing one color.
Fetching pins…
Cara Ellison Halbirt Y'all would have some great ones for this.
