This woman has a journal for each of her children, filled with letters to the child and thoughts about them. She started each one the day they found out they were having (or adopting) the child. What a neat idea! This could be a great college graduation gift to the child!...Or something to leave for your kids after you pass away...Totally going to start this!!
Have each teacher secretly sign "Oh, the Places You'll Go" from Pre-K to High School at the end of each year and give it to your child at graduation.
Such a good idea - each year kids must choose ten old toys to put in their Santa bags. These must be toys in decent shape that other kids would actually want. We leave the bags under our tree on Christmas Eve. Santa takes the old toys back to the North Pole to fix them up he leaves new toys in the bag. Toss the toys in a black trash bag and hide them until you can drop them at Goodwill or a service center. New toys are unwrapped in the bag. Great way to declutter, recycle old toys, and teach the kids about giving

Teach your kids to work! 43 chores young children can (AND SHOULD) do (18 months to 7 years old)
For milestones, use a whiteboard with white frame. Date the corner, you can always remember exactly what they looked liked when all those things happened.
Great idea to document how fast they grow - use the same clothing article and watch how they fill it out in the first year.
