The Motorola 'Brick' - The phone which started the mobile revolution in the early '80s. Also known as the DynaTAC, the original mobile device offered 30 minutes of talk time and 8 hours of standby and a LED display for dialling or recall of one of 30 phone numbers. In production for years, Dr. Martin Cooper of Motorola made the first private handheld mobile phone call on a larger prototype model in 1973. The brick weighed in at 28 ounces (790 g) and was priced at 3,995 in 1983.
