I've watched horror movies for over 20 years and these are some of my favorites.

"An American Werewolf in London" has one of the best transformations I've ever seen in a werewolf movie. It's a must see for FX nerds.

Have you ever heard the term, "Real like Sam Neil?" I'm pretty sure it was because of "Event Horizon."

Have you ever wanted to see soldiers fight werewolves? The "Dog Soldiers" might be the right movie to watch.

"Final Destination 2" is my favorite of the series. This beginning highway scene is pretty iconic to me. You'll never look at log trucks the same

"Bad Taste" is the first movie Peter Jackson ever directed. So, of course you should watch it!

I wasn't a big fan of "Grindhouse" as a whole, but loved "Death Proof." Great soundtrack, great story.

Tod Browning's "Freaks" is one of those classic movies that's more spectacle than horror. But, all I have to say is "One of us!" to make it scary.

Part of me hates "The Shining" and part of me loves it. When I'm conflicted like this, that's the sign of a good movie.

"Alien" is still one of the best horror / sci-fi movies around.

"Killer Klowns from Outer Space" is what you play to help people realize that clowns aren't scary. Or does it work like that?

Stephen King's "It" is THE movie you play if you want to make someone scared of clowns. This is still my favorite movie adaption from a Stephen King book.

"Dead Alive" aka "Brain Dead" is one of the best horror comedies in existence. Plain and simple. I still can see Peter Jackson's touch of magic years before he started "Lord of the Rings."

"House of 1000 Corpses" usually gets written off as somewhat of a Hot Topic movie. However, it's still fun to watch Rainn Wilson and Chris Hardwick in such a different setting than what I'm used to.

"Baxter" is a French thriller narrated from this bull terrier's perspective. It's a nice step up from "Cujo."

This in not a movie for the faint of heart. Willem Dafoe and Charlotte Gainsbourg are both amazing in this phychological thriller. I warned you.

"Tucker & Dale vs EVIL" was hilarious and a perfect movie for fans of "Evil Dead" and "Dead Alive."

Alfred Hitchcock is one of the master of film making and is no different with "Psycho." Many of the shots in this are very dramatic. It'll make you lock your bathroom door.

"Hostel" makes you never want to travel outside of your homeland again. It's a good horror tale to tell because it uses the fear of outsiders so well.

"Child's Play" made many kids keep their dolls out of sight when they were going to sleep. Chucky got funnier with time, but that first movie still freaks me out.

Slasher movies are some of my favorites and "Friday the 13th" is one of those that will always be at the top for me.

"Nightmare on Elm Street" was my introduction to horror at a young age. Freddy made me realize that horror movies can be funny and a little scary. I love his twisted humor in the later movies.

More horror comedy at its finest. "Shaun of the Dead" gives many nods to horror movies of the past and has great special effects to boot. It's an awesome British comedy.

"Feast" is a movie you can usually find in a budget bin, but should definitely watch. The fast pace is only outnumbered by the sheer craziness of the plot. Good stuff!

"Night of the Creeps" is that cheesy horror movie that you throw on to sit back and laugh at. However, the concept of alien slugs that turn people into zombies is something everyone should watch.

"Night of the Living Dead" is a must-watch for any fan of zombies. The end credits are almost more terrifying that the movie though.

"Ginger Snaps" is a small movie made in Canada that turn the werewolf story on end with a female getting lycanthropy. It's an interesting story in the relationship between two sisters and going through puberty.

Possibly the scariest movie of all time. "The Exorcist" is the movie you show people to truly initiate them into the horror movie genre. This classic is still brutal and frightening.

Want a good movie to laugh at but want some horror with it? "Evil Dead 2" is one that I could watch any time. Bruce Campbell is the man.

John Carpenter's "The Thing" is the staple movie for anyone appreciative of old-school special effects. Kurt Russel is good, but the horror effects are better.

"High Tension" is a fun movie with a fairly predictable twist. It's one of those movies that makes you appreciate the horror genre.

This French horror film is pretty brutal but takes some unexpected turns that promise to entertain the horror movie lover.

"Martyrs" is one of those horror movies you feel bad about recommending to people but it's so good you have to anyway.
