Though it wasn't created in-camera, this double-exposure photograph is, nevertheless, breathtaking. Montreal, Quebec-based photographer Michelle Karpman superimposed the two shots - one taken from winter and one from the summer - using Photoshop. She then called it Sunshine On My Mind. On a rainy or snowy day like this, it's just perfect.

January 19, 1909. Macon, Georgia. "Some adolescents in Bibb Mill No. 1." Photograph and caption by Lewis Wickes Hine. Take a look at this old photo and realize how lucky you have it. This photo of young Southern girls was taken 102 years ago about 40 miles from where I now live. I visited a cotton mill spinning room on a work day with my grandfather around 1956. He was the mill electrician. I still remember the horribly deafening sounds of the spinning machines. Cotton fibers flew in the air. It was in the hair and on the clothes of the women who worked there. I was mesmerized and I've never seen anything like it since.

WOW: Austria's Green Lake in the Hochschwab Mountains is a hiking trail in the winter. The snow melts in early summer and creates a completely clear lake. The lake has a grassy bottom, complete with underwater trails, park benches, and bridges.
