Recipes I've found online that I've actually made, with my notes on making it.
Pasta w/ avocados, bacon, basil, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, ground peper, salt, Romano cheese. - Jill's Notes: I thought it was tasty and easy to make. I went light on the basil because my hubby hates basil. He did comment that he thought it tasted a little too lemony, but it's worth making again. So I'll probably reduce the lemon in the future.

Butternut squash quinoa w/ cranberries Jill's Notes: This was pretty good, but you know what elevated it? Goat cheese and slivered almonds sprinkled on top. (And the hubby just thanked me for making something nutritious. He hates squash.)

quinoa salad with black beans, avocado and cumin-lime dressing. Jill's Notes: I left out the onions, tried adding a little onion powder to the dressing instead. It was pretty good.

Bacon cinnamon rolls - my hubby saw these online & requested them | Notes after making: I would change the directions on the site. I would cook the bacon until really crisp, then break it into pieces. Then I would sprinkle those pieces inside the roll. The rolls would bake up better this way, cooking the bacon just enough so you can roll it inside makes the rolls mushy inside and really baked on the outside. Or just bake the rolls and serve bacon on the side, make life easier.

Robyn Dunn Hmm.. I just don't know about these...right up there with chocolate dipped bacon.
Jill Whitaker Chocolate dipped bacon would probably be okay. My friend makes Maple Bacon cupcakes at her bakery, they're good. The sweet and salty work well together. What doesn't work so well is Bacon Mints. (And yes, I've tried those!)
Robyn Dunn I've never tried anything with the bacon/sweet combo although the kids at school swear by the maple glazed/bacon doughnuts at the local bakery.
Bibimbap - Too time-consuming! So many steps, it just wasn't worth it to me.

Guaranteed Crispy Sweet Potato Fries (My experience, not crispy. If you read the comments on the post, the author says that frying them is the real fool-proof way, but I wanted oven-baked fries.)

This tilapia recipe turned out really well... and my hubby was happy with it, so that's always a win!
Braised Cabbage with Chicken/Apple Sausage: Not the prettiest meal, but it came together really quickly and tasted great. I didn't measure things really carefully, just eyeballed it. I'd make this again for evenings when I'm on my own, my hubby would never eat cooked cabbage

15-min Avocado Pasta- Delicious, I've never had lemon zest on hand for it though. I usually make it with brown rice spaghetti.

Fetching pins…
Dorothy Oakes nice...how was it? I want to try it
Jill Whitaker It was pretty good... I didn't use onions (they give me heartburn) so I think I was missing a little flavor. But it's a keeper.
