Over-thinking is evil... yet so easy to fall into!

Trigger warning -- I've never been fond of The Biggest Loser, it's always rubbed me the wrong way. This interview with former #biggestloser contestant Kai Hibbard illustrates what really goes on behind the scenes and how dangerous and unhealthy the show really is for its contestants.

Bianca Montes So true! It is so hard sometimes to keep that in mind and it is so easy to look forward and be overwhelmed!
I'm pretty sure that NOBODY actually follows Pinterest's terms.

Jill Whitaker Yep, apparently. Did you read the article that links to? Apparently the Pinterest terms of service state that you will only pin something that belongs to you and that you would be held responsible for any legal fees that result from misuse of pinned items. It's interesting, since that kind of goes against the whole way the site is used!
Robyn Dunn Have to admit I didn't read the terms until I saw your pin. Trying to decide how problematic it is...
Mihael Herrera And... the user covers Pintrest's Legal costs in case of a copyright violation is claimed.
Chris Gibson Uhhhh....that's pretty bad...bad enough to actually cancel my account.
Jill Whitaker Yeah, it's extreme!
Overthinking creates problems. - This is sooooo me.

Don't let your fear of failing triumph over the joy of participating.

If it's meant to be, it will be. (I don't have control over my whole life?! How sad!)

Before you pin/repin... make sure the pin goes to the original source! (Or at least doesn't go to another pin or a blog's archive page!) Pin responsibly! :-)
Be okay with where you are, even if you know you want to change.

"All I want to do is sit down for ten minutes and not worry about a single... damn... thing." -- I feel like this a lot!

Fetching pins…
Lindsay Decken I've always wondered about 250+lb people working out for the first time in years and somehow being able to do so for hours on end and day after day. Obviously we know how hard that is at our level - and we've never been as far off track as they are when they start out. Too bad BL can't *truly* do it right... Also, at the end of the season the contestants weigh the same as me or less and I am like WTF! Not fair.
Jill Whitaker Yeah, it's always kind of made my red flag sensors go off, "This isn't right!" And the fact that they dehydrate themselves so much for their weigh-ins is disgusting.
Tearese Gould I only watched that for one season, and I didn't like how the contestants now seemed to obsessed over loosing weight even after the show when they looked healthy.
Jill Whitaker Yep, it's not a healthy approach for the contestants and that message is then spread to the viewing audience.
