This would have been perfect at my 9th b'day party. The theme? Taiwan (we had 2 older girls from Taiwan living with us)!

Yolanda Alleman I had a penpal from Finland from 6th grade through college. It was so much fun getting mail from her. So sad that we lost touch. It's been 35 years since we last wrote.
Janet Kronbach @Yolanda Alleman - I've been able to reconnect with my Swedish cousin - on facebook!!! We even fb chatted online - he wrote in Swedish (which I could understand) and I wrote in English (which he could understand). Perhaps you can find your Finnish penpal after all?!?
Yolanda Alleman @Janet...how awesome for you. I will try again on fb. Thanks for the inspiration.

As a 10 year old, visited the factory with my mom and watched them handpaint this very design... "Ranka."

@ age 6, we moved into a brand new house - my bedspread featured Degas prints, also several Degas prints on my wall. I walked tiptoe everywhere for awhile... but never took ballet...

Ethel Grogan I have three sheets of paper dolls a relative brought to me from Norway and I still have them 55 years later. I need to get them out to display like I did in my previous home.
