Soyoung Park 보통 개나리를 어찌 화병에 꽂는가에 대해 고민들이 많은데, 양철통과 의외로 잘 어울리네.

Sarah Fischer we have a giant "tree" of this in our backyard. i hope it finally blooms this year every other year i've trimmed it back too late.
Joani Schofield @Sarah Fischer - I didn't even know you had to trim them back! Shows what I know :)
Sarah Fischer haha. ours is rather huge and i wouldn't trim it, but then no one would be able to see around it to drive around the corner. i'll post pics if it blooms this year. currently it's a sparrow haven.
Joani Schofield @Sarah Fischer - Sparrow haven - that is a lovely image. Definitely post pics, I love garden photos. (Too many big bush jokes running through my head right now, damn my mind!)
Sarah Fischer haha. that's what she said.

Angela Me too please!
Jennifer Bischof First thing you need to do is start saving red and yellow onion peels. You can use white or brown eggs with is...I prefer brown. You will need...old stockings, or tights, yarn, little herbs or flowers, (we live this part...searching for the perfect little tattoo for our eggs) bowl of water, and your onion brew. Seperate the onion peels so your eggs will be different colors. Put about two big handfuls of the onion peels in a pot of water...(deep enough to cover your eggs..add more peel and water as needed) bring to a low boil..maybe around 6..and let simmer for an hour or so. in the meantime have fun in the outdoors and gather little herbs and flowers. Smaller ones work best. to achieve the color imprint find herbs or leaves that are flimsy and soft. Put in your bowl of water to keep them moist. Lay out your tights. Lay the egg on top to kind of measure how long you need it to be. 4 inches should be enough. Cut as many of these squares as you have eggs. Cut the yarn, long enough for y
Jennifer Bischof You to be able to tie it. I have bigger fingers so I need about 5 or 6 inches. This next step is the tricky one but it's so worth it!! Pick out your herb and place it facing in on the face of your egg. Maybe wet the egg a little to help it lay flat. Now...take the tights and put the egg inside your little tube. Pull the tights around to the back of the egg. You should not have an opening anywhere. Now you take the yarn and tie it around a twisted nub of leftover tights. This as tight as possible without cracking the egg of course. To make color imprint leave a little loose. So know you should have your egg wrapped in the tight..herb on the front and nub in the back. When you have between 4 or 6 slowly using a ladle put them in the onion brew. Let them boil slowly on maybe 6 or 7 for 10 to 15 minutes. The lower the heat the better the outcome..and no cracked eggs. When time is up remove Riggs with ladle place in a colander and rinse with a ...
Jennifer Bischof Remove the tights. WOW ! Amazing. To make them glossy rub with a little olive oil on a napkin. It sounds difficult but it's really not and after the first two it's all uphill. Have fun and let me know if you hit any bumps! :) if you have children they will be amazed! My kiddos love this!
Patricia Ashcroft We make these every year. It is the only way my husband's family has ever colored eggs for generations.
