Gin Doran A few years i saw an Easter cover on a Martha Steward magazine, I never buy them they are just over priced and you can look almost everything up on-line anyway, but this one I needed I had to try to get these beautiful colored eggs. They were rich deep vibrant colors a deep maroon and a vivid blue. I buy the magazine and read the lengthy article and tried dying some eggs...nothing..same pale eggs as before. The end of the article said "more information can be found on Martha's website" (told you its all on the internet anyway.) So I checked the site and after an even longer article there were no more instructions on the dying process. However after my 5th or 6th time (I was really determined) looking at the online article I noticed one small picture where the egg was not fully submerged yet. You know what made all the difference? Why her eggs were all vibrant and amazing? She started with BROWN eggs. Made me so mad I dyed about 3 doz eggs trying to get this right.
