Cleaning your toilet with coca cola will get out the nastiest stains! One pinner said: "I had my cousin try it when they bought a house and the toilets were disgusting, this trick left the toilets looking like new! I have also used Coke for cleaning soot off of the fireplace heat box, or outdoor grill." Since it's the phosphoric acid that does a lot of the work in cleaning the toilet- it's just as effective to use soda water, and it might be better because it won't have a sugary residue

Free printable of over 140 deep-cleaning tasks for your home that you probably don't get time to do regularly. Print them off, cut them up, put them in a cute jar, and throughout the month draw one out when you get a spare second...your house will be deep cleaned before you know it. Or, simply cross off the tasks throughout the month. Trying this!

"Spare-Second cleaning jar". Keep your house deep cleaned, one chore at a time. Such a simple concept that I desperately need - when you get a spare second in the day, draw out a chore. Complete it, toss it in the "my work is done" jar. When you empty the jar throughout the month, start over! Next thing you know your house is deep cleaned, with hardly any effort. Includes printable list for your jar.

Christine Incardona what dose the jar with the green ribbon say on it?
Jordan Page Christine - one says "the day was fun" the other says "my work is done". It's so you can know which jar has the completed tasks.
Christine Incardona oh ok. thanks so much.
All you need is an empty Kleenex box. Dollar bills. Tape the dollar bills together end to end with Scotch tape. Obviously the more dollar bills the greater the “WOW.” Stuff them in the Kleenex box with just one dollar sticking out of the box. It’s fun to watch someone’s eyes grow wider as they pull out the dollars that go on and on. Make a tag that says: Don’t blow it all in one place. Happy Birthday.

Ginny G Fun!
The "miracle" of baking soda and peroxide. Put 1/4 cup of baking soda in a bowl.....add enough peroxide to make a paste. Rub on with fingers or sponge. Cleans EVERYTHING! Stove, oven, pans, stainless steel applicances, even the white handles of the refrig door.

Connie Kautzer It works!
This is such a cute idea. It's a daily calendar that can be reused each year and gets better the longer you use it. Each day you write the year and something that happened that day like, "(Child's name) took her first steps."

Keep your spices in a drawer, organized alphabetically. You'll never double-up on buying spices you already have, they are easy to scan and grab, and you can keep them close to where you cook. Awesome! (Plus other tips for organizing spices)

Jordan Page Ok if you click through to the website there is a link on the post for the list, you just have to actually read the post to get to it. But I promise, it's there! There are actually multiple links for it. http://www.funcheaporfree.c...
Jordan Page Donna - I know what you mean about having a job outside the home. But actually, even though I'm a stay-at-home mom I have babies running around and I don't do my cleaning until 8 or 9pm! All I do all day is make more messes and try to at least keep up (which hardly works). So other than "laundry day" which you might have to do on a saturday, it will work all the same!
Brenda Knotwell I started this idea this week...so glad you shared, Jordan...I, too, am a stay at home mom & have always felt overwhelmed w/ keeping up w/ the messes...so far this idea is working for me
Coralie McMillen /do
Sharon Amor This doesn't work for me. Admittedly there are only 2 in my household (me and DH) + 2 cats , my floors need sweeping/vacuuming and toilets need cleaning more than once a week. I use the list provided by Flylady and it works better for my needs.
Run your toys through the dishwasher regularly to easily and effectively kill germs. Genius!

The best oven cleaner! Cover bottom of oven with baking soda, then pour vinegar so it's all wet. Let sit around 20 minutes or so then wipe all of it out with damp cloth or sponge. I leave my oven door open too. After drying you may see some white residue, wipe again.

Carol Persinger Did not know this! WIll try it.
Jessie Leger I tried it a few times and it always boiled over!
Jordan Page Yup, tried this too...didn't work for me either!
Audrey Ungar Worked for me...maybe your water level was too high? I did have a little bit dribbling down the side of the pan, but never a full-blown boil-over. I'd done it probably 4 times since I first saw this a couple months ago.
