Cassandra Coy How do you know he is homeless or that she is rich? More than likely if he was homeless, he would be sitting at the end of the car, and would have whatever belongings he has with him. If she were rich and from new york and he was indeed homeless, she wouldnt sit next to him, his smell would be intense, and there probably wouldnt be anyone in the car. Good talk,
Tara Byl Well if she's rich in NY, she is hiding it well! And who in the world thinks they are too important, rich or attractive to sit by a homeless person. They are still people, they may not smell as good as you. That doesn't mean they are not a good person, quite likely a better person as they probably are not so judgmental.

Carol Oliver I don't think a homeless man would have creases ironed into his pants...he is probably a man sitting next to a woman on a subway train thinking....I wonder what the wife is making for supper and she is probably thinking....I hope the husband wants to go out for supper.

loisaidanest this is in fact Loisaida in the early 1980's because the open field in the background is today El Jardin del Paraiso bordering east 4th and 5th streets. the building with the blackened facade and plywood in the windows bordering the Jardin was already being renovated by homesteaders who seized it in 1982.
