The camelbak LUXE is a great hydration system. I use it on day hikes, cycling, at amusement parks, and on camping trips. The men's version is called the MULE. One notable difference is the softness of the shoulder straps. The women's version has soft fleece like covering on the shoulder straps, so it stays comfortable when wearing a tank top.

The nalgene bottle is a staple of any gear list. It is versatile and almost indestructible.

The Big Agnes Insulated sleeping pad is really comfortable to sleep on. The nicest thing about it is how small it rolls up. A lot of the self-inflating sleeping pads are really bulky. This one is about the size of a nalgene bottle when rolled up. The only con is that you have to blow it up manually, but it normally only takes a minute or two (no pump required).

The Sea To Summit thermolite liner is a great way to add a few degrees warmth to your sleeping bag. I sleep pretty cold, so I wanted something to give me a little extra warmth if I decide to push the limits of my sleeping bag.

The Marmot Venus Down jacket is my favorite piece of gear. It is incredibly warm for its weight and it compresses to a small integrated stuff sack. It is 800 fill down and is great as a layer or by itself.

I have the Marmot Precip jacket for a rain / shell. I originally bought a Patagonia Rain Shadow, but the zipper was really annoying to zip up so I returned it. The sizing for it also ran really big, so a small was like wearing a poncho. I have been happier with Precip and it is significantly cheaper.

The Steripen Adventurer Opti is a neat little device. You can sterilize water very quickly with UV light. You just wave the wand around for about a minute in bottle of water and you're good to go.

This is the Sea To Summit X-mug. I haven't tried it yet, but its pretty cool in that it collapses down really small. It is pretty large for a mug. I would say it is in between a mug and a bowl and could be used for both. I can't imagine how big the x-bowl would be.

This Nemo Fillo Pillow. I'm really high maintenance, so I need the best pillow out there. This one packs down really small and is really comfortable. It has a memory foam padding over the inflatable part inside so it doesn't feel like you're sleeping on a balloon.

The Jetboil Flash is awesome for cooking while camping or backpacking. It will boil water in two minutes. I love it for making coffee and hot beverages outdoors. It also allows for a quick way to rehydrate foods such as the Mountain House meals.

This is my REI Sub Kilo +15 Sleeping Bag from REI Outlet. It is 750-fill down and compresses very well. I love the material inside and outside; it is really soft. I sleep really cold, so my feet got a little cold when I went camping in 28 degrees. I have since received a sleeping bag liner for Christmas that I haven't tried in the wild yet. Hopefully that will let me get closer to the rating of this bag.
