to say that i love makeup would be an understatement. of course, seeing as i am vegan, all makeup pinned here will be vegan (no animal testing and no animal by-products). it IS possible to be beautiful and compassionate!

e.l.f's essential line blush and bronzer set, part of their spring 2012 collection (available at eyeslipsface.com or target stores). i'm pinning this because i purchased this product a few years ago, and the blush is a perfect dupe for NARS's iconic "orgasm" blush. the bronzer is too dark for my porcelain skintone, but it works well for an eyeshadow. definitely recommend this product, and it's only $3!

e.l.f.'s new essential line flawless eyeshadow in golden goddess. definitely going to order this! unlike many people, i actually adore e.l.f's one dollar essential line eyeshadow quads (use them over primer and they're fab!), so i'm excited to see how these shadows are. plus, i love the coppery/bronzey shadows-- they really make my blue eyes pop.

e.l.f's essential line cover everything concealer. i haven't tried this yet, but i plan to order it soon. for $2 i'm a bit dubious at the "cover everything" claim, but if it makes my dark purple undereye circles look a little less vampirish, i'll be happy.
e.l.f. essential lipstain in "nude nectar." holy shizz, e.l.f. made what appears to be a great lipstain! (their previous attempt at a lipstain was a disaster). i'm hoping to order these soon and see how they are. i love the marker-like applicator.

butter london's nail polish in "no more waity, katie." as a massive anglophile, i love all of their polishes (but alas, do not own any yet!). did you know that their polishes are VEGAN, too? woo! i love this shade because 1) it's beautiful and 2) i'm sorta obsessed with wills & kate.

wet 'n wild has SIX new shades of their megalast lipstick! look at those colors!!! i'm still waiting to hear back from wnw as to the vegan-ness of these lipcolors, but since all the other megalast lipsticks have been vegan, i'm hoping these are, too. i've already started stalking my drugstores for these.
e.l.f. studio glossy gloss in dragon fruit. LOVE IT. creamy, glossy without being sticky, sweet smelling, long-lasting.... and three dollars. i love the brush applicator instead of the standard doe foot.
e.l.f. essential shimmer eyeliner pencil in boldly bronzed. makes my blue eyes pop! plus, i love the glitter! (who doesn't love glitter?) it goes on creamy without tugging, and is long-lasting if a primer is used. only one dollar!

e.l.f. studio shimmer palette. i love the creamy white color as a browbone highlight and on my inner eyes to brighten up my eyes. the peach and pink work well on the cheek.

e.l.f. mineral lipstick-- this shade is "rosy tan." i own almost all of the eighteen shades available, and i love them! great quality lipstick, good color selection, and NO carmine or beeswax! yeeeah!

e.l.f. studio cream eyeshadow in "natural glow." i also have this in "candlelight" and "dawn." these work well on their own for their intended purpose of cream eyeshadows, but i have found they are amazing eyeshadow bases (over primer). try it!!

e.l.f. studio cream blush in "heartbreaker." i own three of these blushes and i love them. they have a fun texture (what i might imagine the new maybelline bouncy blushes might be like) and they have great pigmentation and last a long time.

e.l.f. studio exact lash mascara. it's designed to get at the itty bitty lower lashes, and the wand is super-tiny! i found the formula a bit hard to work with, but with practice, it works well, and it really makes my eyes pop.

e.l.f. flawless finish foundation in "porcelain." six dollars, vegan-friendly, and a lovely foundation. it comes in a glass bottle with a pump top (yay!), applies smoothly and evenly, and doesn't turn orange on my pale skintone. plus it has spf 15, always a bonus.

e.l.f. studio lipbalm spf 15 in "rose." minty lipbalm, now in 5 tints! i own "rose" and "pink," and i love them. rose is quite pigmented, at least against my pale pale skin. i imagine they are quite similar to burt's bees' tinted balms, but they aren't shimmery, AND they are vegan. (obviously, or i wouldn't be using them!)

just purchased this the other day and can't wait to use it. i'm constantly on the hunt for the perfect vegan mascara.
e.l.f.'s studio brush set is my go-to everyday brush set. of course, the brushes are cruelty-free (synthetic materials, no animal fur here!) and while they are inexpensive, they hold up well. the powder brush is my favorite.
