I don't love how this looks but I appreciate the use of maps in an unpredictable location. Might be a fun idea for a kids' bathroom...and...dare I say it?...educational?

The Babylonian map of the world is a symbolic representation of the known world by the Babylonians, the date of ~ 600 BCE. It was discovered at Sippar in Iraq and is on display at British Museum. It deliberately omits the Persians and the Egyptians were, however, known to them at the time. The Persian Gulf is drawn as a river circling the known world, facing up with the West. The top rectangle represents Babylon. The fall of Babylon round about the cities. The lower rectangle represents the southern marsh areas of Mesopotamia. Euphrates and Tigris rivers flow into the Persian Gulf. The triangles beyond the circle show the existence of mysterious regions.
