HAHAHAHHAHA!!!!! Fashion really makes me laugh, when I'm not blown away by how utterly ridiculous and ugly it is. Seriously...... how this is a fashion show and _not_ a still from a movie about a strange alien race is beyond me.

Jennifer Lopez That's the point. Fashion can be the clothes you wear, and it can also be artistic clothing. Alexander McQueen not only made clothes that could be worn, he created artistic visions that were really well made. To everyone who has a problem with artistic fashion, I ask them to see if they could do it themselves, and most can't. True art makes you wonder and think. Would the average person wear this day to day? No, most likely not. Would an average person wear a canvas? No. They aren't supposed to. But this and a canvassed art piece are the same thing. And, even though this is fashion art at its extreme, through the next few years you will see it "trickle down" into mainstream fashion, even if it's subtle and most wouldn't think to put the pieces together. It could be a silhouette, a texture, or a color, but it's still there. It's beautiful, complex, and gets you thinking. I have always been blown away by McQ's stuff and it's a tragedy that he will never make anything ever again.
