Emergency Ingredient Substitutions for Baking

Smart Idea: Make large batches of soup then freeze in silicone muffin molds. Pop 'em out and freeze. Just reheat 2-3 pucks in a mug for a quick dinner. Perfect for the upcoming fall/winter season!

Perfectly cooked, shaped eggs - and you can bake a whole lot simultaneously: Just grab a muffin tin and and very lightly oil each spot in the tin with either butter or spray oil. Then crack an egg in each muffin area! Stick these in a 350 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes.

A very fresh egg, placed in water, will lie on the bottom. A week-old egg will lie on the bottom but bob slightly. An egg that is around three weeks old will balance on its small end, with the large end up. And a bad egg will float.

These are supposed to be hearts, but I think they look more like cats. Still a really good idea!
