We have a very small backyard. There's more sand than dirt, so after 2 years of trying to get grass to grow....this was our solution. My hubby build a "boardwalk" from the gate towards the more open area of the yard. The boardwalk expanded into a deck area. We planted miniature rose bushes and mini gardinias along the fence, then used red mulch for ground cover. Hanging baskets with colorful flowers were added, as well as a few shelves with pots of flowers. It's very qaint and pretty!
I have a wall like this in my downstairs bathroom -- stripe it!
Ribbon as Shower Curtain Ring - For an easy and inexpensive way to hold up your shower curtain and give your bathroom a jolt of color, lace a ribbon through each hole and tie it in a knot, as shown. Snip off the ends at an angle.
Place a dishwasher-safe cup filled with plain white vinegar on the top rack of the dishwasher. Using the hottest water available, run the dishwasher through a cycle. The vinegar will help to wash away the loose, greasy grime, sanitizes, and helps remove the musty odor. Next, sprinkle a cupful of baking soda around the bottom of the tub and run it through a short cycle. The baking soda will help freshen and removing stains.
Throughout the year, write down memories that make you smile. On New Year's Eve, open and re-read all of the good stuff that made the year wonderful.
