K Allen your a picture is worth board is awesome
octobermoon Thank you K. Allen! I've seen some other holocaust photos showing a mountain of suitcases...a huge pile of eyeglasses. But then there are those photos that just hit you like a sledgehammer and this is one of them. I couldn't help but stop to think of all the love those rings represented, to imagine all the happy wedding days when they were exchanged. It was a horrible thing to confiscate.

The Most Beautiful Suicide "On May Day, just after leaving her fiancé, 23-year-old Evelyn McHale wrote a note. ‘He is much better off without me … I wouldn’t make a good wife for anybody,’ … Then she crossed it out. She went to the observation platform of the Empire State Building. Through the mist she gazed at the street, 86 floors below. Then she jumped. In her desperate determination she leaped clear of the setbacks and hit a United Nations limousine parked at the curb.

Pauline Tamere I can't see the beauty in this.
You can easily judge the character of a man by how he treats those who can do nothing for him. media-cache1.pint... romston romston com

Barbara F I have never seen an actress or dancer this thin. I would NOT pay money to see the film, play, recital that required the star to look like this.
Trish Mastriano I think this may be an altered photo. The face is too young & hands too old. Look at these examples of photo altering on Snopes http://www.snopes.com/photo...
Ashley Troop If she lived in New York they would give her thousands of dollars to be a living hanger.
becky pontious I agree it looks like an altered photo--her face is filled out and smooth -no shrunken cheeks.
Petra Gilchrist Sad if true:(

Sue Urness Could this be any sadder?
octobermoon No, I have a lot of poignant photos on my boards but this one just stunned me.
Angie Christine Dillon speechless...
Kathy Bradfield-Phillips Where is the humanity today...there is enough to go around..we all need to know what it keeping that from happening...the biggest sadness is that this exists at all....

Melissa Voas I saw this on the news this morning...unbelievable!!!
Jackie Leonti Me too.
Rhonda Price I guess they are indifferent to them just like we are to most hurricanes in Florida until they reach a Cat 4 or 5!
octobermoon Yes, I saw it on the Today show! I thought this was the best shot although there is another one out there taken from a distance that shows them posing with one tornado on the left and one on the right in the background. I do know I would not have been as cool as these two!
