Seven Ways to Cure "the Blurts"--great ideas for ADHD kids!
Would be good for a homeschool co-op group, too. - Amazing!! A MUST-have for classroom library. It allows you yo use your smart phone and scan the bar code on your classroom books and then it inputs all of the info for you on a FREE data base. It allows you to let kids scan out the books and check out and check in them, separate them by reading levels and even put down their location in your class room. Did I mention it's FREE!?!? Sounds like an awesome thing for @Molly Cisneros
This is AMAZING! All the things you work on to train your children tabbed and highlighted with a key in the front. Training topics include: anger, complaining, lying, laziness, THE GOSPEL! So when you need the verses you can grab the actual Word and be able to quickly flip to whatever you need!! Can't wait to do this!!

The Four Steps, based on Charlotte Mason's approach 1. Motivating students Motivate the student by making the lesson interesting on his/her level—not “dumbed down.” 2. Teaching ideas and facts Get the facts from living books, reference books, nature, humanities, the Internet, etc. 3. Experimenting with concepts and skills Do something with what has been learned. Copywork, dictation, adding to a nature notebook or timeline book or portfolder. 4. Integrating new learning into real life. Narration; tell back what has been learned; share with others.

Homemade Light Box One of the things that is often incorporated into the activities featured on Play At Home Mom is a light table. I decided to make homemade light boxes for the kids (with my husband's help). They aren't quite finished, but they are functional. First we bought two fairly small clear bins. We wanted them to each be able to play on their own and we liked the idea that they could even pull them into their laps if they wanted. We bought white spray paint (the kind designed to adhere to plastic) and spray painted the inside of the bin and some of the lid. We also bought battery powered florescent lights to put inside. I used some pattern paper I had gotten a while back from a fabric store and we use that to diffuse the light. Hopefully the pictures will make all of this clear.
