Weather: Fill the cup with water. Put shaving cream on top for a cloud. Explain that when clouds get really heavy with water, it rains! Then put blue food coloring on top of the cloud, and watch it rain.
My students always loved this activity in the classroom but it would be fun at home too. What a clever way to do a little art history and create a new masterpiece! Great way to teach how artists painted the ceilings in cathedrals.

Kerry Bogert my son Andrew makes these at christmas time with scrapbook paper. he then staples 6 of them together so it is a giant snowflake!

cut and glue together various sized pvc pipe pieces to make a custom frame ( it's nice because you could literally then paint it ANY color)

New Year's Eve Countdown...put a note inside each balloon and do what it says at that hour...7pm - Have a dance party! 8pm - Make Brownies 9pm - Pop your Confetti Poppers 10pm - Do some Kareoke 11pm - Make a Toast (w/ Sparkling Grape Juice, don't worry, but in Champagne glasses ha!) Midnight - Make Some Noise!! :)

Buy plates from Dollar Store, write things like, Night Before Christmas, wedding vows for a gift, happy birthday song, the possibilities are endless :) Please note, they used a Porcelain 150 Pen which is permanent and safe once baked for 30 mins in a conventional oven. Have children write to preserve their special handwriting at different ages and stages!
