Candle Stick Apothecary Jars. You will need 3 candlesticks. These came in a set at Ross for $10. They were primed, then spray painted green. The jars were old Fry's salsa jars soaked in bleach solution and labels peeled off. The lids were spray painted to match the candlesticks. Lastly, the jars were glued onto the candlesticks with gorilla glue.
Their desktop one is "on sale" for $64.00 (www.potterybarn.c...) which just seems crazy to me - and the knockoff is $47.52 on Amazon (www.amazon.com/ex...). But I found this "letter holder" on Amazon for $30.06 (www.amazon.com/ex...) and it had two drawers - much more useful to me. I glued two aqua clips to the side to keep my cords in place and decorated the area above them (and the area between the two drawers) with ribbon-tape. Voilà! A DIY charging station / valet for less than half of the original. I'll forever miss my Pottery Barn wall charging system but it's time to move on (and quit fighting cords)...
this is a magnet strip in the medicine cabinet for bobby pins to stick on. blogger says she has never lost a pin yet.MUST HAVE!!
