Salt dough recipe: 1/2 cup salt, 1/2 cup warm water, 1 cup flour. Roll out the dough and cut the shapes. Then poke large holes for the string. Use rubber stamps to stamp designs/words. Bake them at 250 for around two hours (until hard all the way through). Paint with acrylic paints if desired.

A much better way to give cash as a gift. @Linda Chatfield, for some reason, this reminds me of the Christmas with the boxes of cash you had Adam & I open and the 50 ones went all over the floor! This would have been SO much more organized!

Car Travel Kit. A box full of tools for the road is a useful gift for fathers who travel a lot. Use a sturdy cardboard box that will fit under a car seat. Cut self-adhesive Velcro into small pieces and attach to a tire gauge, flashlight, Swiss Army knife, compass, and other useful tools. Adhere the matching Velcro pieces to the inside of the box top to hold the tools in place. Fill the box with other travel necessities: maps, a pencil, and a notebook for jotting down directions, all neatly rubber-banded together. A hand-printed card on the front of the box states clearly what's inside: "Dad's Travel Kit." #MarthaStewart
