Assassination Vacation by Sarah Vowell. Sarah's voice takes some getting used to but I love it. Also has guest voices from Conan O'Brian, Jon Stewart, Stephen King & a ton more.

The Golden Compass: His Dark Materials, Book 1 by Phillip Pullman. I love this - there are tons of actors instead of one narrator. Plus Phillip Pullman has the most awesome voice.

Joanne Murphy His new YA series (Last Dragonslayer) has started strong too! And don't forget the Once Upon A Crime series. This man is amazing! So clever and talented!
Jennifer Bruck I keep trying to find the Last Dragonslayer as an audiobook, but apparently the iPhone app for it is not available in the US and it isn't anywhere else, either. In fact, also can't get it anywhere as a physical copy new OR as an ebook. I guess it isn't licensed in the US yet.
Joanne Murphy I had to order The Last Dragonslayer from a British bookseller throughAmaon, I just did the same with it's sequel Song of the Quarkbeast. It takes a little longer to get here but it's worth it. They haven't haven't found a publisher in the US yet.
Joanne Murphy @Stacy W. The 7th Thursday Next book is coming out this July! The series: The Eyre Affair, Lost In A Good Book, The Well of Lost Plots, Something Rotten, First Among Sequels, One Of Our Thursdays Is Missing, and Dark Reading Matter. Jasper Ffrorde does book tours with each new book, if you get a chance go see him, he is so nice and so funny.
Stacey W. yep I've seen him - I used to work at Borders & he came in & chatted with us! But i think One of Our Thursdays is out now - it's on audible.com. http://www.audible.com/pd/r...

Lettie Eagar I agree ... VERY addictive. They are short and fun and perfect for day-long knitting marathons!
I know it sounds like a dry, boring topic but the narrator brings out the fascinating studies that led to the birth of forensic science

Awesome! Pump up the volume by placing your iPhone / iPod in a bowl – the concave shape amplifies the sound. Nice when listening to audio books so you don't have to use earbuds.

She dated Woody Allen AND Al Pacino (oh, and a Mr. Warren Beatty, if you're into that). GOSSIP: GAME OVER. Winner: Keaton.
