Fetching pins…
Kate Los Exactly, and if you're blessed enough, and work hard enough to go to college and do the work, more power to you, and do not apologize for earning a higher salary. If you're not in that boat (I went to one year of business school on my own dime, worked through it at a full bime job) and worked as a legal secretary for many, many years. Did I get rich? NOPE, did the atty's always make more, YUP, they went to college and law school. Work hard at what you do, and go to sleep satisfied, not bitter at the people who earn more than you do. Gosh, it's common sense people. I find this PIN picture so offensive, and am so sick of people begrudging the wealthier, who provide more jobs, whe DO pay more taxes, and who maybe have some left over to send their own kids to college. EVERYONE CANNOT POSSIBLY EARN THE EXACT SAME AMOUNT. Oh, and those "white collar" workers, are paying the taxes that pay for welfare benefits to those who NEED them, and many who do not!
Gwen Barker Disparity between the rich and the poor is at an all time high. The money people earn is often completely unrelated to the effort expended and the benefit their work creates for society. Those that supply us with our fresh fruits and veggies work long, hard hours and receive dollars a day while those that make bets on the markets, receive multi-millions every year. This level of disparity makes no sense and, in my opinion, is simply unethical. Its also critical to take into account that people don't start on a level playing field and the American idea of pulling yourself up by the bootstraps is largely a fable. Very few people end up in an economic class different from the one they were born into. Thank you for posting this clever and timely pin!
Kimberly Semerad-Patterson Thank you Kate and Nancy! I'm so proud to live in a country that allows rewards for hard work! Why do you think so many move here from OTHER countries?
Kate Los Holla! BUT, I apologize to Kristina M. who oroginally posted this, and I only saw it when logging onto Pinterest's main site. Kristina, if you see this, know that I do believe your opinion is valuable - as valuable as mine, just different. Another thing that makes our Country a great place to live in. I'm afraid when I saw this, it was the last straw for me, and I vented. Nothing personal to you. I disagree with the sentiments of this "PIN" and stick by that, but have fuy and "PIN ON".
Lindsey Anzures ^^^^^^ all these negative Nancys should shut up. Not your pin.
