Use glue, salt, and watercolor. The glue makes the colors rise from the paper and the salt creates a 'starburst' look.
Painted Rocks- not only are the so pretty I love what they did with them- they putt them in a bowl by the front door & whenever someone comes over and comments on them- they asked the guest to take one home with them! What a great idea & wonderful way to share some happiness!

I could do this. 1) Paint the canvas all crazy like 2) Use painter's tape to create a herringbone pattern with some missing 3) Paint over the canvas in white 4) Remove tape and voila!
