'Metamorphosis' by Keiko Sato, 2009.

The Bloom!-hotel in Bruxelles invited 300 students and post-graduates to paint a room in their renewed hotel. The theme they had to use was ‘Bloom!’ so stefan van den heuvel made a mural which litteraly bloomed and transformed during the day. He used UV-sensetive ink and glow-in-the-dark paint on a grid of ‘slashes’ to warmly welcome the visitors of the room.

Zander Olsen 'Tree Line'. Trees wrapped in white and perfectly aligned with the horizon.

Bloom (2003) by Anna Schuleit. 28,000 potted flowers installed at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center. Anna and her team filled almost every square foot (including corridors, stairwells, offices and even a swimming pool) of the soon to be demolished MMHC with a variety of nearly 28,000 plants and invited past patients and family to reflect on their time there.

What started as a seemingly simple, delicate room turned into an amazing sticker installation. Yayoi Kusama masterminded this for the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane. Over the course of two weeks, children who visited the museum were given stickers to place where they wished. The installation, entitled The Obliteration Room.

Leandro Erlich's installation called Bâtiment now on display at Le 104 in Paris looks like so much fun. A gigantic mirror reflects a house which gives visitors the illusion that they can hang off ledges and if kids (or adults) want, they can even get their Spiderman crawl on. Watch a little clip to see how it is done. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xlm2lb_batiment-leandro-erlich-au-104_creation

The Seven Seals is an on-going series of seven digital video installations using texts and computer technology to show Kinwah Tsang’s thoughts on various issues of the day. “The Seven Seals” draws its reference from various sources including the Bible, Judeo-Christian eschatology, existentialism, metaphysics, politics, etc., which all attempt to articulate the complex situation of the world and the dilemmas that people are facing while approaching “the end of the world”. The "thoughts" overlap, muddle, complicate and build upon other thoughts, slowly growing into an incomprehensible mass.

An incredible installation by Zadok Ben David. Using 12,000 cut steel botanical models from old textbook illustrations, embedded in a thin layer of sand. At first sight it’s completely black (thats why it’s called the “Blackfield”) but when viewed from the opposite side, a field of black turns into a wall of colour. intricate and beautiful. Matej Andraž Vogrinčič created the installation "When on a Winter's Night a Traveller" at the Melbourne GPO for the 2005 L'Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. The installation was composed of one thousand umbrellas suspended over the atrium of the GPO. At various times a cloud of mist would form over the umbrellas, obscuring the far side of the building.
