Oh... the chore of emptying the bottles...

Love this idea!! Open up the pumpkin, add a little soil and water, and watch the seeds (which are already inside the pumpkin) grow. // FUN - need to remember this for next year!

Grow your own celery from your remains from the store. Just chop of the base and plant. One week of growth shown in photo.

Enter your zip code and this calendar will tell you what to plant and when to plant it, week-by-week. Fantastic!

The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely. We just use kitchen scissors to cut what we need for meals. I periodically empty out the water, rinse the roots off and give them fresh water.

Mason jars...only thing is how would the water drain out?

Epsom Salt as Plant Fertilizer - Encourage green growth on your house plants by applying a solution of 2 tablespoons salt to 1 gallon water once a month. Magnesium and sulfur from the salt make leaves grow bushier and encourage flowering plants to bloom more often.

Another fun idea! Painted rocks for garden markers.

The next time you boil a dozen eggs, save the water and pour it on your garden and plants.  The water becomes enriched with calcium when the eggs are cooked.  Plus, why pour water down the sink when you can reuse it for something, right?

Make your own succulent terrarium!
