budget: $500 - painted ceiling & walls $75 - replaced lighting $95 - replaced knobs $100 - steam cleaned carpet, full cleaning of kitchen - fabric for seat cushions and small valance $25 - cabinet - $125 - shelf along wall - $30 - crosley retro phone - $60 ---- extras - bird cage ($17), candle ($2), tea towels ($14) going to make some art and/or steal some from the rest of the house [making clock on a hand-painted canvas] - choosing not to put drapes at sliding door - perhaps something in the future - or a mac tac type treatment?? - $50 extras ~ $90 =================== TOTAL ~ $650 not too bad :)
i should have taken the compost bin from the counter!! - neat and tidy - but i feel i'd like some more pizazz on that side of the room - what could i do?

i guess i should take more pics when all stuff is put away!! new linens and frame and art - put legs on the bookcase from ikea - makes it look a bit more...real?? :)

plant corner - new phone, clock, the rest i had $70
new cabinet and art - should be able to stick a garbage can to the right ;) $120
new lights, table turned around, seats covered, new shelf - with mostly found around the house items - new birdcage, though - and lovely tulips :)

this looks a lot like our kitchen - cabinets are white, same type of nickel knobs, peachy countertop - i wish we could have done something with the counters & floor - that's when we do the real renovations; for now - the paint has freshened things up and the cabinets will offer a little bit more space

ok - i have a peachy countertop that i must live with painting walls white, drapes white i think i will add this type of green for accessories? little green bottles in the window sill, green towels, art? what say you?
