I teach online & face to face I work with trainee teaching assistants couple of days a week, write for some blogs, write articles for various on and off line publications.

Great idea of numbering your mailboxes without ruining them with stickers/labels! These just clip right on and off!

Stained Glass...tissue paper scraps inside a laminating pouch, will make a beautiful stain glass effect when laminated! I've used this for sun catchers in the classroom

This could definitely be copied for a class frame making project. It's mostly cardboard triangles. 4.bp.blogspot.com... /Cardboard+Frame+(Deco).jpg

In Tasmania's Sacred Heart school the library features - books and text! On the ceiling, as pillars, with little playful letters everywhere. And corners with bean bags and screens on the wall and words on windows and... it is lovely.

move to shoeless learning - give notice, make sure adults all do it too - with the cleaner floors students can sit anywhere, you need a lot less furniture and behaviour is better ("its' really hard to be a bully with your shoes off..."). More like a learning home, less like a learning factory...

Mirror walls behind fixed computer screens - so that teachers can see faces as well as screens. if you rate in an old computer lab, or a music tech space or anywhere with fixed screens this TRANSFORMS the space for teachers. It is simply so effective. Use the link to find perfect IKEA v. cheap mirrors that work sideways wonderfully www.ikea.com/...

Set up a praise rich culture (and watch bullying vanish!) using a praise-pod. Any child seen doing something praiseworthy gets asked to go along to the praise pod where, to camera, they have to articulate their own excellence (say what they did that was good). You can build your own praise-pod or use the excellent PP site, with it's apps and advice
