The newspaper will prevent any grass and weed seeds from germinating, but unlike fabric, it will decompose after about 18 months. By that time, any grass and weed seeds that were present in the soil on planting will be dead. It’s green, it’s cheaper than fabric, and when you decide to remove or redesign the bed later on, you will not have the headache you would with fabric.

Stephanie Davis Use anti bacterial soap that is rinsed as soon as it fully fills the bristles all the way down, rinsed out w cool water, then warmed and followed by **most importantly** a gentle cream cleanser or sulfate free face wash: it acts to remove extra soap left behind and condition the bristles. I too am a proffessional: hairstylist, esthetician and make up artist.

THIS REALLY WORKS AND LAUNDRY IS SUPER SOFT!!! Soak a hand towel in fabric softener. Squeeze out any remaining drops from the towel. Hang it over a chair (or outside on a clothes line) to dry. My house smelled super clean for the three days while this towel was drying completely. Yes, it took three days! You must make sure it dries completely! After the towel dries you just throw it in your dryer along with clothes and use it as a dryer sheet for 40-50 loads before soaking again.

Profile picture of Diana Fahy

Diana Fahy Nick M, can you explain to me (or all of us) how the very first micro/miniscule/enth of a particle of energy first came about to create the big bang? All aetheists, I have talked to, try to convince me that everything started with a big bang. How did that start. Some of us cannot even begin to try to understand it, so we have faith in God to try to help us get through our lives. Why are you so cruel as to take away our faith? If you don't believe, then don't; but leave us who do, what we need to survive with some sense of sanity.

Profile picture of Nick M

Nick M @Diana Fahy Can you explain how a magical sky wizard willed himself into existence? Who created god? What molecules was he made of? What prompted him to create the universe? You Don't Know. No christian has ANY answers about the origins of the universe, yet the think mocking the big bang theory (which doesn't claim anything about where all the energy and mass CAME from) somehow makes their own laughable argument stronger. How about this. The universe has always existed. It always will. Time expands infinitely in both directions. Humans can't conceive of eternity, so we invented god. If your grasp on sanity is so tenuous, you must lie to yourself about an imaginary god, go right ahead, but I refuse to indulge that lie.

Properly hung draperies.

Profile picture of Lupe Castillo

Lupe Castillo I guess everyone has their own taste..but take it from someone who knows interior design it's a definite do.You can also top it with a valance as to not see the top of the window.

Profile picture of Cindy Kanarowski

Cindy Kanarowski I get that it makes the room seem larger but it seems like you are hanging drapes off your ceiling. I think I will stick to the don't way.

Profile picture of Sandi Wesson

Sandi Wesson I have a drapery workroom and yes up to the crown or ceiling is the way to go ,but at least mount the rods 1/2 way in between.

Profile picture of Courtney Siebold

Courtney Siebold I've hung draperies for about 3 years, while you can hang close to the ceiling to make the room look taller, I find people are unhappy with the wall showing above the window. This can be fixed by choosing curtains that have a decorative valance to cover the wall or using a larger decorative rod (2-3 inches diameter). Otherwise custom dictates going out 4 inches above and 4 inches on either side of the frame/ window opening. This picture is correct in so far that you don't want to hang flush with the top of the windo or else you will get light gaps.

Profile picture of Allie Kemp Sullivan

Allie Kemp Sullivan you can always do a betweener...don't go all the way to the top but don't start just at the window. :)
