OK, this is bugging me. 1 pound of fat = 3500 cal: TRUE Fitness is a science: TRUE To lose 1 pound per week burn 500 more calories than you eat: FALSE! To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a 500 calorie deficit per day using a combination of calorie restriction and exercise based on your basal metabolic rate. If you burned 500 more calories than you ate you wouldn't feel very good at all!
