Lirabobeera Definitely needed sriracha sauce. And I'd add a tablespoon of peanut butter to the mix too. Good the way it is, better with the changes. Also, this would work great and cut the entire tortilla-baking step (so, and additional 30 minutes) if you just serve it over rice. Now that I have all the ingredients, I'll make it again. 5/18/12

The easiest Samoa cookie knock off recipe I've found.

Lirabobeera Okay, made this without the frosting and it was okay. Next time, I'll just make my favorite peanut butter cookie dough and layer it. 5/15/12

Healthyish brownies! (simply buy a brownie mix and use a can of black beans instead of egg and oil. Literally all I did was this: box of brownie mix into bowl wash and drain a can of plain black beans pour the beans back into the can and then fill the can with water* puree the black beans and water pour into brownie mix and stir) put whatever add ins you want to make it fun like chocolate chips and a couple tablespoons of instant coffee.

Lirabobeera Could not taste the beans at ALL. It did change the consistancy of the brownies; they were definitely more fudgey, which was a huge bonus. Would make them like this again. 4/12/12

Picodillo empanadas, near the bottom of the page. Yum! Tasted great, and I added cheese to the mixture. Tastes just like the ones at the restaurant I used to work at.

Easiest PB Fudge EVER 2 cups sugar, 1/2 cup milk (I used 1/4 c cream and 1/4 c milk) 1 tsp. vanilla, 3/4 cup peanut butter. Bring sugar and milk to a boil. Boil two and a half minutes. Remove from heat and stir in PB and vanilla. That's it.

Lirabobeera Okay, just made this and stirring in the peanut butter and vanilla to the milk and sugar mixture created the fudge consistency while I was still stirring! I have it cooling. We'll see what the husband thinks. 1/8/12

Heather Yep, I do this all the time. Not only with frosting, but if you need to put liquid into a ziploc bag for the freezer. It keeps the bag upright AND the zipper clean.

Cheese Danish - Ingredients: 2 cans ready to use refrigerated crescent rolls 2 8-ounce packages cream cheese 1 cup sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 egg 1 egg white Glaze: 1/2 cup powdered sugar 2 Tablespoons milk 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract Method: Preheat oven to 350* degrees and grease a 13X9-inch baking pan. Lay a pack of crescent rolls in the pan and pinch the openings together. Beat the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and egg together until smooth. Spread the mixture over the crescent rolls evenly and then lay the second pack of crescent rolls on top of the cheese mixture and brush with egg white. Bake for 35-45 minutes until the top is golden brown. Top with glaze after cooling for 20 minutes.

Lirabobeera So I think since I don't have white chocolate, I'll use chocolate chips. And instead of lemon extract, use orange extract. YUM!

Profile picture of Lirabobeera

Lirabobeera Finally made the recipe, as directed, from the website. I think it needed a little bit more lemon flavor. I'd add a bit of zest and maybe a teensy bit more lemon extract. Might try this again using raspberry vodka, but will probably do my chocolate/orange extract idea above, first. 1/31/12

Lirabobeera I added five cloves of garlic, a can of kidney beans, and a whole onion. I would add some hot sauce, but I'm serving it for company. Tastes great, but would use only half the water of the corn next time. 11-29-11

Lirabobeera Chili is always, ALWAYS better the next day. This was incredible on day 2. 11-30-11

Profile picture of Lirabobeera

Lirabobeera Made this again, did all the above, but added an extra can of kidney beans and some Frank's hot sauce. Next time I make this, I'm going to reduce the cream cheese by 2/3. It's just TOO much.
