Rupert Everett and Colin Firth in The Importance of Being Earnest
Because any photo involving Colin Firth, Greta Scacchi, and Alan Rickman would be a good thing even if it were not at an event supporting sustainable fishing, which just makes it better.

This is exactly the same expression my husband would be wearing if I dragged him shopping for expensive clutches, even eco-friendly ones!

Standing in for Westminster Abbey, Ely Cathedral's size allowed the crew to build the sets required to show the uneasy preparations for George VI’s coronation. In the movie you’ll spot an exact replica of the Coronation Chair, the 14th-century seat that’s been used for coronations since 1308.
The King's Piece: The King's Speech porn parody that Geoffrey Rush introduced to the world on Graham Norton's show. The trailer here has little actual naughtiness (though it's definitely for grownups) and is completely hilarious. Also, it was filmed in the same building as the Oscar winning film.

Colin and Geoffrey playing up the bromance angle. I hope they are still texting each other as Thelma and Louise.

The play sets the final scene in a makeshift recording studio at the Palace. As the King speaks, his Queen and their loyal staff stand motionless behind a screen. There is choking emotion in the theatre as the curtain falls.

Margaret Elphinstone Rhodes (the Queen's cousin and longtime friend) found the film as accurate as possible and said it made her cry. (Is it just me, or does the king have his scepter in his trousers?)

David Seidler's original script (not the PDF distributed widely of the award-winning screenplay) for 'The King's Speech.' I understand that the new play headed to the West End keeps a lot of the material that's in here but wasn't in the movie.

Holli B. Wow. I had no idea Colon Firth was so lovely. Where have I been?
Michelle Erica Green LOL Holli -- that was exactly what happened to me when I saw 'The King's Speech' after resisting him quite easily when everyone else was swooning over Darcy!
Colin Firth never takes a bad photo, does he?

Illustration by production designer Eve Stewart for Tom Hooper while working on The King's Speech. Article at link is awesome, with lots of rehearsal photos!
The luscious Colin Firth. Repinned because of the caption: "I'm not a Austen fan, but there's a lot to be said for that hair."

Zanna Russell Makes you want to run your fingers through it, doesn't it?
Michelle Erica Green Mmmm yes!
Colin Firth in front Rossetti's La Ghirlandata at the Guildhall art gallery, getting the freedom of the city of London. This photo makes me several kinds of happy.

Angie Hartley Where to get the g-rated copy?
Michelle Erica Green I think they didn't release it on DVD (for which I am profoundly grateful, as I think the MPAA was ridiculous to give it an R for seven therapeutic uses of the F word in the first place)!
Zanna Russell Life and struggle aren't G-rated.
Angie Hartley life in the world is not g-rated
Tub scene from "And When Did You Last See Your Father" -- mmmmm, should be edited and inserted into all Colin Firth movies!
