Beat the Reaper...Ok, if you rank Pulp Fiction as one of your favorite movies, you will LOVE this book! Seriously, read it!
LOL funny...don't compare this book to the TV series...
An incredible novel about death, life, and the mysterious place in between. The City is inhabited by those who have departed Earth but are still remembered by the living. They will reside in this afterlife until they are completely forgotten. But the City is shrinking, and the residents clearing out. A lyrical and haunting story about love, loss and the power of memory.
Short story with Billy and Scathach. As always, terrific story telling by Michael Scott
My lovely friend Faith's new cookbook! Check out her blog to see her delicious recipes www.anediblemosai...
Meet Travis, a 100-year-old ex-seminarian and scholar, and Catch, a demon with a nasty habit of eating most of the people he meets...yep, that sums it up...terrific book, loved the characters, and it's the first in the series.

In December 1960, a suicide bomber paused fatefully when he saw the young president-elect's wife and daughter come to the door to wave goodbye. In June 1968, RFK declared victory in California, but rather than talking to people in another ballroom, as intended, was hustled off through the kitchen. In October 1976, President Gerald Ford made a critical gaffe in a debate against Jimmy Carter, turning the tide in an election that had been rapidly narrowing. But what if it had gone the other way?

Ok, I listened to this book, which may have added to the hilarity. Here's the gist: 50 Miss Teen Dream pageant contestants thought they were heading to a fun trip to the beach, where they could parade in their state-appropriate costumes and compete in front of the cameras. Ha! After their plane crashes on a desert island and the survivors are stranded with little food, little water, and practically no eyeliner, the real "competition" begins.
I love Maeve Binchy's characters, and it's so comforting to see familiar characters turn up unexpectantly in her various novels.
A collection of short stories about a group of 7 people who share a minibus ride every Friday night home from Dublin to the small town of Rathdoon for the weekend.

I'm sure you've seen the movie..BUT, if you've never read the book, you're missing out. As a dinosaur fanatic, I read this way back in 1990 and new it would be huge..It was..
