1.Good to know for the next power outage: 1/4" Mt Dew in bottle, add tiny bit of baking soda and 3 capfuls of hydrogen peroxide. Shake and it glows. Pour on sidewalk to "paint" doing this someday!

Cut up pipe-cleaners and place them in a bottle. Use a magnet to manipulate them. kids will stay busy for hours.

Snow day activity: Fill bottles with food coloring and water; go outside and paint.

Winter bubbles! As long as the temperature is below 0C or 32F, the bubbles will freeze and shatter when they fall to the ground! We'll have to test this out. :)
