Agneta Olofsson This is a cute design! Have you checked out the swedish online stores Liandlo design, Znok design and Kameleont Design? They have the most beautiful knit fabrics, many made from one swedish designer. The rest of the world has a long way to go, design-wise! :)

Doray Briskman saw this the other day -- wasn't sure if it was easy enough
Stacia Potter love this pattern, use it all the time
This pattern has a top that looks like it would be great for knits -- haven't tried though...has anyone tried it?

pinkzipper Did any concessions have to be made for making it in knit?
Sascha Romeo I didn't change anything but I used a cotton knit that behaved more like an interlock even though I believe it was a rib knit. If I do it again in a more stretchy fabric I may try stabilizer in the shoulder seams.
Inder Khalsa I used a knit with it - I did everything exactly as instructed, but in retrospect, should have interfaced under the buttonholes more to account for the snaggy/stretchy fabric. http://inderlovesfolkart.bl...
Sarah Campbell i've seen in in some cute knits!
Kristin I sewed it in a heavier interlock and it worked great - I plan to do it again during KCWC this coming week. I did add interfacing under the buttonholes. Here are photos of my last one: https://skirtastop.wordpres...

Tutorial: The grumpy person's guide to knit bindings

katie lukas I started out doing this method, which seems eminently reasonable, but I gotta say it adds a LOT of bulk and makes seaming a nightmare.
Rae Hoekstra I think that is true, it really depends on what you're using it for. The other thing that helps is if you use this method with a thinner stretch jersey or lighter-weight rib, the bulk won't be so bad. But definitely not for the chunky ribbing they sell most places!
kitschycoo Yes, indeed. I use it for jersey and interlock but nothing thicker like rib. I find that having a double fold enclosing the edge can make lightweight knits more stable and less prone to waving and if the edge is curly then no matter because it's enclosed :)
katie lukas Man, I wish we could magically teleport fabric samples to one another! I'm way more of a novice than either of you, and all the interlock I've ever worked with has been substantially heavier than any of the rib I've used. I'm at least with you on the jersey. And I can totally see what you mean about the curly edge.
kitschycoo The rib I use is normally very thick (it has acrylic in it) so it's pretty bulky. If you're having trouble seaming once it's bound you can seam first and then bind after. You'll have to get the binding the correct length and sewn into a tube first but it's definitely do-able!
