craft room/office closet with screen doors and pull out shelving. I would choose a different color, but the idea has appeal.

chalkboard wall & all kinds of other goodies via funky junk interiors

Using CD cases to store small scrapbook paper cut-outs, stickers, etc. So smart! There are TONS of other organization tips on this link.

Foam Core Board, used to make a ribbon holder.I prefer this type of holder to the ones with rods down the middle: it is easier to take a single spool of ribbon out.

A plastic ceiling tile meant to cover fluorescent lights, cut down and inserted into a box for organizing and carrying copic markers. Wonderful!

This hinged opening is meant for computer cables, but myosotis cleverly mounted a plastic storage bin under the table so she could easily sweep scraps right into the trash. "The bin is big and slides out for easy emptying," she adds.

HandyBrandy beautifies empty yogurt cups, juice containers, and cereal boxes by covering them with scrapbook paper, then converts them into organizing bins for an assortment of craft supplies. To save space, she attaches them to the wall using hot glue, Gorilla glue, and staples. Genius!

old cassette tape holder used to store ribbon. Lovely and so easy to find at thrift stores.

Stacking "drawer" organization in my workroom area...whenever you need more drawers, just purchase another "bin/ drawer" piece, toss the wheels, take it apart, and add it to the configuration!

Tasha McKelvey's Studio. That's a rich color! She's a ceramicist and makes some jewelry too. Things I like: the wood, the light, the shelves, the clean lines....

Ribbons by Hanah Silk. I would like a large ribbon rack like this! I like how easy it would be to remove the dowel sticks and take a spool or load a new one.

Happy place! Digging the cutaway desk shape and the fact that the crafter/ working artist faces away from the wall and INTO the light instead of facing the wall. Personal preference: trade red drapes for white. #craft #art #studio

Every Little Bit: store metal tools like drill bits and pliers on a magnetic knife strip. Watch out for computers nearby though.

Ok I do not have the high ceilings, but this countertop-and-cabinet model of a art studio/ craft room is very workable. Needs better light, and I want a cheerier color, but I like the layout. Central work island. #Craft #art #studio #room

Old dresser becomes girlie tool storage. Remove drawers, add shelves, paint, use thrift store finds like a tray and some baskets, paint in one color, BOOM.

Long narrow craft area: this would serve to divide the bedroom into half art studio and half.... guest room? Computer lab for hubby? Basically run a skinny work surface down the middle of the room, and build floor to ceiling storage behind it, so I am surrounded by usable workspace, but only taking up half of the bedroom.
