Leigh PF I nursed my three yesr old with him on a stool. This just looks awkward for any nursling over 12 lb.
Melissa Milo this one is much better! I actually love the gorgeous mom and the big healthy toddler on a stool, but know it is being used as a galvanizing tool to turn extended nursing into a controversial topic, where people (like the dolts on The View) see it as inappropriate and miss the entire point of the benefits of attachment parenting (as if bf toddlers is what it's all about - gah!)
Ashley Bingham This one is much more endearing. The other one is to spark a controversy. To make attachment parenting seem extreme and unnatural. It also makes the child look less toddler like. Extended bf is natural and beautiful

Detroit is working to improve breastfeeding rates, especially among the at risk - one of their key strategies is prenatal visits in OB offices with Lactation Consultants! Why can't all OBs offer this option to new mothers? Make sure you watch the video :)

Alison It does! You can record the baby making noises (fussing, whatever), and it may help your letdown when you're not with baby.
