Farm Sanctuary is truly a resting place for neglected and abused animals. Arnold, pictured above was rescued after receiving a call that farm animals, who had already been suffering from cruel neglect, were now being shot by the very person who was responsible for their care, Farm Sanctuary rushed to action. Arnold and his friends were rescued.
The kind spirited folks at the Gentle Barn do amazing work rescuing farm and domestic animals and rehabilitating troubled youth. Meet Biscuit the pig, who was found at a pumpkin patch; a favorite attraction for the kids. This little piglet rolled over for tummy rubs, took food gently out of their hands and had the patience of an angel. When, to our horror we found out that the plan was to slaughter him the day after Halloween, we brought him home to the barn instead. He now delights visitors with his 1,000 pounds of pure love.
