Lou Really? That's why? Even though the nurse might do those things, she's the one who doesn't leave you when the doula does, helps you create a new birth plan as often as it needs changing to fit the ongoing process, and makes sure you get the epidural you didn't think you wanted and doesn't judge you for deciding you need it after all. And she's the one who is there for you when you decide you need to be at the hospital when the home birth plan doesn't quite work out... Just sayin'...
