After weeks of sunny warm weather lambs were born all over my new home of northern England. Then we had freezing weather and 18 inches of snow. Thousands were without power, but our little friends had coats. I love this place!

We often see Roseate Spoonbills when kayaking the Canaveral National Seashore near Kennedy Space Center. Some times we would see them as far north as New Smyrna Beach, but it was always a calming and treasured sight.

When I saw this picture I couldn't believe it! Brian and I stood right here on Hadrian’s Wall, in Northumberland, England, two years before he asked me to marry him. Wonderful memory.

Hubby's birthday surprise - Isle of Skye and Kilt Falls. So named because the rocks are pleated as the fabric in a kilt. It roars from a small loch into the sea below.

START OF GAME. Scores of young men from Sedgefield and surrounding villages take part in the game said to date back nearly 1,000 years. The traditional Shrove Tuesday event has few rules, but many conventions, including a free drink for the first player to take the ball into any one of the local pubs. The game is rough enough for some village shopkeepers to board up their windows, and the game is won when the ball is passed through the bull ring in the square, three times.
The Sleepy little village of Alwinton...just inside England on the south side of the Scotland Border...known for the Border Shepherd Show every August - the last show of the year. We watched the shepherds herd their sheep, walked the hills above the village, and clung to each other in complete happiness.

The Palazzo Margherita has been completely restored by Francis Coppola and acclaimed French designer Jacques Grange. When we go to Italy this is on the top of the list of places to stay.
Views of mountains to the rear and rolling green hills to the sea in front. Taking my husband to the Flodigarry Country House Hotel on Scotland's Isle of Skye this weekend for his 50th.

Mar Nezzo ...another one on the list checked off.
Balmoral Castle - the castle is beautiful, but I find that castles in ruins are more romantic than those still occupied - excluding Alnwick (pronounced Ann-ick).
