MaryAnn F Kohl Hannah Kohl adapted the book and wrote the lyrics, Mark Messing wrote the music, and Blair Thomas did the set and puppets and directed the actors. It's a truly enjoyable music for children.

MaryAnn F Kohl I think the interviewer forgot to interview the composer. And where's Hannah?!

Anna Bree My daughter Grace loves his books! She's quite the writer and has the theatre bug already. I can imagine you're one proud mama. :)

MaryAnn F Kohl Hannah astounds me, honestly. Maybe Grace would like to meet her someday? Hannah is wonderful with helping kids get excited about theatre.

Bill Martin Jr. reading "Brown Bear" aloud. Martin wrote the book and Eric Carle illustrated it. It's a classic and a huge favorite of mine. (Should I tell you Bill and Eric worked in my classroom in the 70s ... for TWO WEEKS?!)

Fay Statz Seriously? This is absolutely ridiculous! I am sick of the any "(Ethincity) American" label! Maybe he should be more concerned about the 2012 Americans for Obama...but that might not be as successful I suppose!

Profile picture of Fay Statz

Fay Statz Yes. I don't agree with labeling or focusing on any ethnicity. We are all Americans and should be campaigned to accordingly. There isn't a place called Africa America, German America, Asia America and therefore, no one should have such a label. I'm American, the end.

MaryAnn F Kohl I was kind of hoping we were over the division of people in this country, but I guess he wants votes so badly that he's willing to divide.

Profile picture of MaryAnn F Kohl

MaryAnn F Kohl Shawn, it doesn't matter what Bush did. We're talking about now and what it means in the context of America and how Obama promised to bring the country together, not divide it. I'm just very disappointed in his tactics to get votes. And what if there were a White Americans for Obama. Wouldn't that bug some folks? OR White American History Month? It's really time to get past this race card and racial division. And that goes for Bush or any other candidate now or in the past or future.
