Need to remember this ... so many clothes I thought were ruined... Chalk will remove grease stains from clothes. Simply rub the stain with chalk, then toss in the wash as normal.

OXICLEAN: -- 1 part baking soda, 1 part hydrogen peroxide, 2 parts water --- Mix it all in a container to spot treat or just Add straight to laundry if presoaking. (I've tried it on a couple things and it works AMAZING!) You just have to shake it before you use each time.

CLEAN YOUR MATTRESS: pour about 1 cup of baking soda into a mason jar and drop in 4 drops of lavender essential oil. Put on lid and shake jar. Using a kitchen strainer sprinkle the baking soda mixture all over the mattress and let it sit for an hour or more. Thoroughly vacuum the mattress. Bye, bye dust mites and other nasty things. The baking soda helps draw up any moisture and deep dirtiness. It deodorizes and leaves the mattress smelling fresh and clean.

Erin Corcoran Rubbing alcohol works the best. It is what makes the other two work and it's way cheaper on it's own.
Chelsea McGee Hmmm, good to know...Thanks Erin!
Do you like to cook with green onions / scallions? Keep the little white ends after you've chopped up the green bits. Submerge the white ends in a glass of water and leave in a sunny place. In a matter of days, your green onions will grow back! Wonderful. Amazing. Thrifty. Why not try it with leeks as well to see if it works?

Chelsea McGee So I did this and it didnt stick very well. Maybe it was slightly damp after I cleaned?? I'm not sure, but it wasnt as easy as I had hoped!...lol
Hanging a dish towel from an oven door makes sense -- the towel is always at the ready, and the oven's warmth quickly dispels dampness. Here's a way to improve on the idea, keeping the towel from slipping off: Make it into a loop by attaching Velcro strips to two ends, one on the front and one on the back, below. Stitch in place, or use iron-on Velcro strips.

Sunshine Monk I found out by accident that when the kids used Sharpie marker on my dining room table, that I was able to remove it with a pencil eraser. Go figure!
Juliet Laney On non-porous surfaces (like a stove), if you color over the permanent marker with a dry erase marker (and push down hard with the tip), it will all erase off afterwards. Learned that one on accident as a child lol.
