Your Life is your Art In their teachings, the renowned designers Charles and Ray Eames discuss the importance of source. You cannot create art without a source, although the nature of what makes a good source is sometimes elusive to the maker. The things you do naturally every day are your greatest sources. Look at your daily life, paying attention at what you do without thinking. look at the things around you. The sites in your neighborhood as you take a walk. A phone conversation . A new purse. Your favorite cup. A hole in yours shoe. The contents of your knapsack. Your lunch. Include the ugly parts, which we often discard. The mess on your desk. A painful childhood memory. A nagging fear. A terrible fight. A death. Use all these sources in your opus. Write them down. Paint them out. Change their meaning. It is all worthy of documenting. Your view of the world is unique and people will respond to your work when it is honest. You might not see beauty, but sometimes that is better. Just get it out. Talk about what you did yesterday. Quote of the Week: Magic is something you Make How? Well, first of all by believing in ourselves and believing that anything can be possible. Sharing our dreams and then working with passion and love. Right now I’m trying to create something beautiful for myself. It is taking me time and it is tiring (and scary). But it is oh-so-beautiful feeling the satisfaction of working at my own dream, seeing little and big achievements just in front of my eyes, noticing how any kind of help is being manifested around myself day after day, as if once you started to roll the ball, every little thing starts to fall in place. Isn’t that magic? Sure it is! :)
