Another plaid semi-unstructured blazer, mostly due to the selection of cotton as the fabric. We like it, and we think it's another piece that requires us to find a good Boater hat. Horse racing season, anyone?
As one of the latest Bond films states: "there are dinner jackets, and then dinner jacket." Obviously, given the Mssr.'s love of Masion Kitsune, this defines the latter.

A dedicated weekend bag: may seem like only a luxury, until you need it. We all own many backpacks, but sometimes it's best to just have this bag off to the side for those last-minute trips wherever you choose to go. Channel your inner hipster and try to complement your style by going out of your way for uniqueness. It's an accessory, so it follows that accessory commandment.

Men, spend for your accessories. Take care of your accessories. These are the commandments. Those, and get chase those rarities like the Vintage Ratti 649. These will soon be new arrivals to the Mssr.'s style formulary.
On the topic of socks, they do wear out. This is a fact. However, that does not mean, gentlemen, that you should simply buy cheaper socks to compensate for the wear. This is a case where you should really work with these as a key piece to pulling off -your- look, and invest accordingly. Think of having to re-buy socks every now-and-again as an opportunity to restart a new experiment!

Flat-front dress pants like this 'Modern' fit are essential. However, I do depart from the general world of higher fashion when I recommend that you invest in these types of styles at a lower dollar amount so that you can build a broad range of options. There are some colors where stock, single-color, no pattern is the way to go, but with colors like black the striped accents and small differences in ornamentation make the difference.
There is a denim subculture that's been brewing for a number of years. We all know that jeans are a major part of the American style lexicon, but there's a new energy that's springing up around the world; The Mssr. recommends owning jeans, but let's try to make the least ostentatious choices possible, men. Focus on simplicity and stand up against the acid/stone wash where possible. We favor Japanese denim to that effect.
Get a long coat for formal occasions as well. It's probably best to get black and khaki/tan in order to accommodate the broad spectrum of needs, but in a pinch (if affordability is an issue), the correct hue and pattern of grey will set off even the lightest of color combinations.

Black lace-up oxfords shoes. Not too much a fan of the glossy finishing on most black shoes, but if that is appealing to you, there is wide availability. These complement those brown loafers in your armory and it wouldn't be a bad idea to acquire brown oxford shoes either. Though mostly formal, they can operate as a casual shoe, but do yourself a favor and make the spend for formal occasions.
The Mssr. is very partial to ties. It's part of the belief that small details make the look. Men, get way too many ties, but eschew them as gift ideas. Wool ties are best, though this raw shantung silk behaves like wool.

Brown pinch-tassel loafters. We think that Bostonian is the ultimate authority on these, but Cole Haan (pictured) is the upstart challenger in this classic space.
