Brilliant idea! Make Crisp Even Hems... When you're hemming fabric accuracy is important. Save time with this technique: For a 1-inch hem, for example, draw a line on card stock, 1 inch in from an edge. Place on fabric and fold fabric edge up, aligning it with the line you drew; press with an iron. Repeat, folding and pressing again to encase the raw edge. Stitch hem to secure.
