Travel Tip: A throwaway shower cap is the perfect "shoe bag" when traveling. The cap keeps the dirty soles off your clothes in the suitcase, yet takes up no additional room.

Paint-Pan Liner You won't have to bother washing your paint pan if you line it with heavy-duty aluminum foil before using it. This trick is especially helpful if you're painting with different colors -- for each new hue, throw away the old foil (after pouring excess paint back into the can) and put in a fresh sheet, molding it to the inside of the pan.

Cover your refrigerator shelf with Saran's Press and Seal Wrap....then when it gets dirty you just peel it off and apply a new piece!! This is Genius.

Collecting user manuals: put manuals and receipts in a sheet protector in a binder so you always have it on hand and in one spot -- a lot better than my current system!

The next time you have green onions, don't throw away the white ends. Simply submerge them in a glass of water and place them in a sunny window. Your onions will begin to grow almost immediately and can be harvested almost indefinitely. We just use kitchen scissors to cut what we need for meals. I periodically empty out the water, rinse the roots off and give them fresh water.

GOOD TO KNOW: a great tip for making a wreath: go to the plumbing department at Home Depot and grab a six foot long piece of foam tubing for $.97!! snip the length you want and duct tape the ends together. Foam ones are SO expensive! Remember for next year...
