Melissa Davison Glad to know it's not a crazy idea! Although it will mean washing everything twice a month from the dust probably :/ I think I'm gonna do the 4x4 stacked on top of the 2x4 (my space isn't wide enough for the 5x5), and do the drawer inserts on the bottom for utensils and spices and stuff...
BeckyPool I've got this empty space I've been meaning to put a little bar/hutch thing in, but this is such a great idea! Plus most of our extra dishes are ones we bought for the wedding and probably won't use much. I love that you can stack like that to fit your space! You should take pics when you do it!
Tinted mason jars- Not food safe though :( I thought they would be a pretty replacement for drinking glasses in my pastel kitchen
