POCKET GAMES! I like this idea! How could this be adapted for middle school Earth Science? Vocab used in a unique way? Landforms to identify? I like the idea of handing a set of cards (held together with a big ring?) to one student to quietly quiz if he/she is done early!

Have you discovered Wordle yet? www.wordle.net Use vocab words to create a word cloud. Use to invent a game for your students to play, such as put definitions (on small cards) on top of the correct vocab word. Can control color, size, etc.

SUPER KEWL Lego Board Game! See who can get to the end and build the highest tower. Can be used with any set of questions. You can make any type of "board" and spinner you like. Use a mish-mash of old legos or garage-sale find and have a great time reviewing for a test! I would make all the boards the same for each team. No need for the teams to compete against each other this time, just fun within the team to see who gets the highest tower first. Great Idea! LOVE IT!

Can we think up a TWISTER Review Game for pairs of students using a small paper version of the TWISTER Game? Let's say...Teacher asks a question with two choices: yellow & blue. Students put their fingers on the color they think is correct. If they're right, they can keep their finger on the color. If they're wrong, they must remove their finger. Use only one hand or use two? Comment for additional ideas! This would be great fun and they would be learning along the way!

I LOVE sticky note games! Make a big chart on newsprint or white board. Put a list of common minerals down the left side, such as quartz, feldspar, etc. Put the properties across the top: color, streak, hardness, etc. Give each team a stack of sticky notes. They have to add a small square of their team color. When their turn, they fill out sticky note and send runner up to post to board. Other teams get to okay or nix with teacher as final judge. Great fun! Teams will have to be careful how they judge so they don't give an answer to another team!

Ring Toss Game. I can see this as a middle school team game. Make rings of each team color. If the team gets a review Q right, they send any team member up to try tossing their ring! Would be a great review game the day before a unit test!

Blank Bingo Card. Hand out a page with lab equipment pictures or any other other set of diagrams or sketches. They cut the pictures out and lay on the card. Be sure there are MORE than 25 images so nobody's card is the same. Call out a name or a use or a situation that identifies. They remove the image that matches.

Interactive Venn Diagram. Could be used as a Team Game! Give any three same-color title cards, such as for Fronts: Cold Front, Warm Front, and Both.
